Super Bowl XLIX

Under 47.5 -109  ($545 to win $500)

My first Super Bowl wager in four years and I probably wouldn't even play this one but a 60% season is always a goal of mine every year and I would achieve my 3rd consecutive with a win.

This is also a tough Super Bowl for me as a native New Englander and Pats fan my whole life. I do think the Patriots could be galvanized by the Deflategate stuff. Many people outside of New England hate the Patriots and I understand that, but when their integrity gets questioned, then their honesty gets questioned and they hear all these former players coming down on them on top of it, it creates an "us against the world" mentality. Brady, Belichick and company were fueled by Spygate in 2007 to win the next 17 games in a row en route to the only 16-0 regular season in history and 18-0 start overall. This ball controversy has similar elements and the Patriots only need one win this time to be World Champs.

Seattle started this 2014 season with a definite hangover from winning the SB last year, but since the middle of the season they've probably been the hottest team in the league. Having a chance to go back to back will be the biggest motivating factor for the Seahawks and I expect a close and fairly low-scoring game.
