The 49ers looked strong last week in Green Bay playing in sub-zero temperatures. In fact, this team has showed the last two years it can win in any temperature and in any stadium. The Panthers have had a great year. They have matched the 49ers in RPI ratings and have not lost to San Fran since 2001. Kaepernick, however, is only 0-1 vs Carolina and that was a bitter loss 10-9 as Kaep threw a pick to seal the defeat. He has already said "We owe them" and I think that revenge factor combined with the playoff experience of playing in the Super Bowl last year against a Panthers team that is experiencing all of this for the first time with this lineup is going to be to the 49ers advantage.

Teams in the playoffs playing their third consecutive road game are only 14-25-1 since 1985 if you eliminate the designated "road" teams in the Super Bowls (lines of less than a field goal are 1-1). This has smoothened out though since 2005 to be only 7-8 against. The NFL playoffs have been more suited to road teams in recent years anyway at 54-46 ATS since 2003 (again, eliminating Super Bowls).
